Accent on tones and textures with an emphasis on layering
Transeasonal Collection one: Oxidized 2015
A collaborative project between contemporary jeweller Lauren Haynes and award winning fashion designer Debbie Shepherd. See more in the clothing gallery.
Sustainable ethics are at the heart of the launch of the Debrasic fashion label: keeping it local and generating something that is truly a limited edition, not mass-produced. This collection is both designed and manufactured locally here in New Zealand.
Each garment is hand crafted, combining knitted and woven fabrics cut on the bias for contrast, texture and ease of wear, made predominantly from natural fibre textiles.
The dark aesthetic of this blocked colour palette, with an accent on tones and textures, enables the tactile qualities to form a platform for pieces from the Debrasic contemporary jewellery range.
This brand forms the basis of a multi-seasonal capsule wardrobe, with an emphasis on layering to suit the many climate changes in the New Zealand day. Focusing on wearability and comfort for the independent, bold, fashion-conscious woman who wants casual style with a contemporary fashion edge. Independence is true beauty.
